It was suggested to me to create a post here after making a similar post to this on Reddit.

Basically, my suggestion was (now that iOS supports standard web extensions in Safari after they’ve been re-packed) is to facilitate basic Tab syncing and bookmark syncing via a browser plugin.

I think for most iOS users who want to use Vivaldi on desktop but refrain due to lack of iOS sync - the need for a full on iOS Vivaldi port is not really whats holding us back. What we really care about is that we can access bookmarks/tabs on the go or on separate devices (eg. IPad).

A simple extension that just opened a new tab which showed sync’s tabs and bookmarks would literally be the difference between me using Vivaldi on the desktop or not.

I literally had the exact same idea (in the shower so...make of that what you will)! This would be such a fantastic compromise!

It could even function as a standalone app as well so it'd be more efficient to look at your bookmarks and tab list. That'd also allow you to look at it without necessarily having to use Safari, in case you wanted to use something else as your default browser

@geoken I'm using raindrop as a stopgap for syncing bookmarks. Does have some friction in terms of saving links on ios but until Vivaldi actually releases on the platform, it serves its purpose.
