Windows panel not showing all stacks
-
I have several tab stacks but Windows panel only shows the first one.
-
Are your stacks in the same window? The window panel only shows the tabs in the active window.
-
Yes, all in the same window. The tabs number at the top (window count) is correct and the name of the open tab in the first 'Window' line switches with the selected tab

Okay, weird. It works for me:
Which Vivaldi version are you using, and are you using any extensions that could interfere with this?
I'm on snapshot 5.2.2623.3 (one of the last snapshots before the stable release of 5.2) -
Yeah, looks like a bug with the Pinned Folder option (under Panels). According to the docs:
"By default, the pinned tabs are grouped under one folder in the Window Panel, but you can disable it in Settings > Panel > Window Panel > Pinned Folder."
https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tabs/pinned-tabs/"...whether Pinned Tabs are in a separate folder or listed as other tabs..."
https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/panels/panels/Apparently if Pinned Folder is selected (default option) pinned stacks don't show up at all? In @Shoham's image the three pinned stacks (Outlook, Linkedin, Google) do not show.
Made a video showing the problem: https://ttm.sh/bct.mp4
Is pinning stacks new in 5.2? I don't really use pinning so confused as to how it's supposed to work but looks like a bug to me

@pathduck Fwiw, fyi everyone, this is not a new "problem". It has existed since at least 27 April 2017. I discovered it then once @Ayespy kindly showed me the trick to pin stacks. Because that is an "unofficial" method / function, our presumption back then was that the Window Panel situation for those pinned stacks was arguably not a bug, but an absence of design function, given the "unofficiality" of the method.
As peeps above have already discerned, the necessary workaround it to disable the Pinned Folder setting. Unfortunately, that causes a knock-on effect of losing the nice site icons in the panel.

Thank you for the reports. Pinning stacked tabs was fixed in 5.2 (it worked before, though it was unintentional and buggy). I have now reopened and updated @Pesala's report from last year:
VB-84013 Pinned and Stacked Tabs Not Displayed in Window Panel
(which was closed since the feature wasn't supported back then). Hopefully, we can get that fixed too.
