Hello. I have a problem with the color of the address bar and searching in themes. Downloaded themes have clear address bars, for example Library theme. When I install it, the bar is in the color of the first window in the editor without any modifications. It cannot be changed, so dark fonts are sometimes invisible. How to brighten it up? For me, the theme Library has a black color bar. Thanks for the help

@grabol Could you please link to a theme with invisible text, or export it and share it?

It's not about invisible text, but the color of the address bar. Some downloadable themes have a light address bar. For example, the theme "library". When I install it for me, the address bar is black. In my Vivaldi, the address bar is always the color that is in the first field in the theme editor. I wanted to make my own theme, but dark text is not visible in the dark address bar. It is only faintly visible. The color of all elements can be somehow brightened, modified. Address bar no. It always has the same color as it is in the first field of the theme editor. It's like filling in check and typing boxes in your browser settings. So dim. How to change it?

@grabol Background color and foreground color need to have good contrast. You are alone are responsible to ensure this when making a new theme. Moreover, there is no address bar background color, it’s either the accent color or the background color depending on whether the accent is on the window or not. I assume your accent is on window in the theme you are talking about, because if it was on the address bar, the foreground would have maximum contrast. So yeah, if you don’t want to post a screenshot or share your theme, we’re done here. I can’t help you, if you can’t show me what the problem is.

It is difficult to explain what it is all about using a translator. In short. The arrows marked the difference in the appearance of the theme before installation and how it looks for me. I wish it was like before installing. Chroma themes change too. I choose a theme and it looks different after installation and I don't like it.2022-03-29 00.26.13 themes.vivaldi.net dfb36015cd62.jpg

@grabol I see what you mean. The preview picture on the themes page doesn’t show exactly what the theme will look like when installed, it’s an approximation. Your theme looks normal. If you don’t like the colors/contrast, try to download another theme or make your own. You can also manually intervene by writing your own custom CSS, especially for the address field, see https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/356714

Thank you very much. This is a valuable tip. Maybe I can handle it. One more question. I deleted my own theme but I have a disk image and can recover Vivaldi files.
In which file are the themes saved?
