Mail Panel not auto-hiding in latest Snapshot
-
Using 5.2.2617.2 (Official Build) (64-bit) I can expose the Mail web panel but, unlike all other panels I have, it does not auto-hide when it is no longer the active window.
-
@joeduffus As panel auto-hide does not seem to be an option, I gather you have some sort of mods installed to do that.

I assume they are talking about panel floating. I can confirm the issue here

@sgunhouse No, no mods. Web panels are set to auto-hide when not active, and all of them still do so except, suddenly, the mail panel. It started with the latest Snapshot release. I don't normally use the Contacts or Calendar web panels, but tested just now and confirmed that they auto-hide correctly, whereas the Mail one does not.

But the mail panel isn't a web panel, or have you added a mail site as a web panel?
-
@sgunhouse User should have said "all panels." If you use floating panels and set to close when not in use, every panel, including native Vivaldi panels (notes, bookmarks, history, calendar, etc) closes as expected with the exception of the mail panel.
-
Opening Feed or Mail opens a new tab. Can that behavior be avoided? It cancels out the advantage of panels for me.
