Open in new tab behavior
-
Is there a way to make the "Open in new tab" acting like the "Open in new background tab"? I'm a Chrome user and i'm already used to click on the first option when right clicking and that tab load in the background but in Vivaldi the 1st option takes us right to that tab and we're forced to use the 3rd option.

There are easier methods:
1. Middle-click
2. Ctrl + Click
3. GestureDown over the link (hold RMB, drag down) -
The 3rd option takes us right to the desired tab. The others work as intended.
Although, and if i remember right, Opera had this same behavior which i always disliked. In my opinion the first option should work as chrome. The option #1 and #3 should be swapped because if we want to go directly to that link we can simply click it, making the "open in new background tab" a second option viable and not having an option at first place that offers us basically the same as clicking on it.

Yeah. If you look at the gesture mapping in Settings, you see that gesture "down" is "Open in new tab," while gesture "Down-up" is "Open in background tab."

GestureDown is open in background tab in Opera 12.17 because I changed it. It is much more useful for opening a bunch of links at once.
I thought it used to be the same in Vivaldi too. I don't use it that much — it is my goto browser when Opera doesn't work properly, but I don't use it all day.
One of the main issues stopping me from switching is not being able to (easily) customise mouse gestures.

The GestureDownUp is really handy! Thanks!
Anyway, it only works when I'm using my mouse. While using the trackpad I'm not able to reproduce that gesture (driver problem, I know).
Still would like to know if it is possible to reorder the right click options locally, making the open in a background tab the first option.

Editing the menu order is not available (yet).
