Can Not create an Email Account

Having problems with the mail. It fails to setup an account. I enter my address and password. get error: Login for incoming server failed, IMAP server responded with Authentication Failed.. The Connection Security is grayed out with SSL/TLS (recommended) and can not be changed. That is the only think I can see that might be hindering me from creating the account. Thank you for your time and consideration.

Hi, I use Freenet, Yahoo and Gmail and automatic connection work for me.
Which email provider are you trying to connect?

same here,
appeared this week after upgrading to v5.1(worked for 1 day), "Login for incoming server failed";
then downgraded to v5.0 (tried 2 version), couldn't add office 365 account anymore
