Can't re-enable the Reader View
-
When I first go to article, it works but once I exit reader view, I can't go back into reader view on that page nor any other page until I get completely out of vivaldi and back in, then it works again.

@briceburtch
Hi, I can verify this bug on:Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
Android 11
Vivaldi Android Snapshot 5.1.2567.26
Vivaldi Stable 5.1.2567.36Please report it to the bug tracker using Help > Android > Troubleshooting > Report a Bug.
The setting to enable/disable does not work correctly, too.
Cheers, mib

How do I reopen the “simplified page” view again after it is closed?
-
@Aaron
Hi, this is not possible at moment, I fear.
May you upvote the feature request: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/43319/make-simplified-view-more-subtle
Then we can disable this pop up and choose when we like to show "Simplified View".Cheers, mib

Same here on
Samsung Galaxy Note 10+
Application version : Vivaldi Browser 5.2.2620.56
Operating system : Android 12; SM-N976B Build/SP1A.210812.016 -
In case you saw the message, but didn’t enable it before the message disappeared, scroll back to the top of the page and the option to switch to Reader View will be displayed again.

Hi, this does not work for me on:Xiaomi Mi Note 10 Lite
Android 12
Vivaldi Android
5.2.2620.56
5.32672.3Cheers, mib

@mib2berlin Could be a Chromium bug - I'm seeing the same in Chrome. A workaround that works in both is opening the page in a new tab.

@pafflick
Strange, cant find reader view in Chrome Android nor desktop version but anyway ...
As in the feature request it is far better to add the reader view feature to the address bar and/or to the Vivaldi menu like the desktop version.Thank you, mib
