We have updated Vivaldi Community Blogs to WordPress 5.8. 🎉

The update includes various updates and new options in the editor and blocks.
In addition to easy access to images from Unsplash, you can now include Instant Images also from Pixabay and Pexels. Look for the ⚡ button in the top right corner of the editor.
Furthermore, we fixed a few bugs. For example, the one with email notifications not being delivered.

      Happy blogging! ✍

@jane-n Any chance we can have a better selection of themes? Maybe even upload our own themes? Or at least let us install from the WP themes 🙂

The old "Theme File Editor" still has its uses for custom theme CSS too, so if that could be enabled it would be good.

But I do understand the potential security implications of allowing random PHP code to run on your servers. I'm assuming you already run something like php-fpm but still...

And IMO that useless "SEO" plugin can be removed. I'd much rather have better themes support than some over-complicated plugin that only opens up possibilities for SEO scammers. Does anyone find a use for it?

        > BTW, today I cannot connect to mozdev.org, would you know why?
Maybe that big lizard escaped and ate the server admins? :-)

Unfortunately, we can't allow custom CSS, but I'll ask whether we can add more themes.
Also, I forgot to mention in my first post, but you can now add all the same blocks available in the editor also as widgets to the site. Hopefully that adds a bit more flexibility and customisation options.

As for SEO, that plugin is actually needed and the one we have was the least obnoxious one we could find. 😃

I was wondering why I was seeing comments from my blog in my email box. So had to come here to see what's new. Thank you Vivaldi!
