Some pages update every time I change the tab

  • some pages update every time I change the tab, why?

  • If tab have not fully loaded the page after you switch to next tab, the tab switching back reload the tab. Perhaps if content of a page is dynamically changes as for news, chat, etc. the tab switch may reload content.
But i dont know these pages you visit.

  • Got the same problem and it's not with "not fully loaded tabs". Every time I have more than one tab opened, it immediately refreshes the page the second I switch active tab. It happens for EVERY page I visit, no matter the content, happens with just text, happens with flash games, happens with videos. The problem started appearing after previous update and the update from today did not fix anything. Tabs are fully loaded, nothing is playing, it just happens and I'm sure the fault is in the recent update, cause it didn't happen before.

  • I updated to 1.0.435.42 and it became slugish and unresponsive so I did a clean install and it seems to have worked… so far

  • go to chrome://flags

    check for this feature
    Automatic tab discarding Mac, Windows
If enabled, tabs get automatically discarded from memory when the system memory is low. Discarded tabs are still visible on the tab strip and get reloaded when clicked on. Info about discarded tabs can be found at vivaldi://discards. #automatic-tab-discarding

    select Disabled and restart

Now all the tabs won't keep reloading again and again

  • That is what I needed. Thank you very much.

  • Thanks
