Fix the number of speed dial columns?

  • Is there a way to fix the number of speed dial columns? Basically, I remember sites by their spatial location on the speed dial, e.g. the site I want is two rows down, third in from the right, etc... Right now, Vivaldi (and Opera Next too) both reflow the speed dial elements to fit the window width. This basically makes every row but the first useless for me, as the position of each item within the speed dial window is not fixed, but rather a function of the window width. Is it possible to specify that the speed dial pane always has 6 columns? If not, can that be added?

    In time, but not yet.

Please add this customization option, because the physical location of a dial is far more important than having a big thumbnail to click on.

    Thanks,

Yes please. The lack of this feature is basically the only thing holding me back from switching over. I like to use speed dial pages. The ability to customize the amount of speed dials for each page is very important to me. I like to group dials in columns(within the same speed dial page), with empty dials separating them. This is easily done with this Firefox addon. Would love to see something similar implemented. I know its not as nice looking as the default Vivaldi speed dial, but in order to be truly customizable, shouldn't Vivaldi allow us to make it look as ugly as we want so long as we get the power usage we would like?

If I am in any way unclear please PM me or something I will send screenshots.
