-
In today’s snapshot we have more translate panel work and jumped a couple of Chromium versions.

Vivaldi 4.3 is on Chrome 94 and this 4.4 snapshot is now on Chrome 96. What is wrong with you and your versioning system Google?
//MODEDIT: language

@supra107: Chromium has switched to a 4 week cycle but now provides extended support (i.e. security updates) for one version back. Thus Vivaldi stable is 94 based (with extended support), so despite being 'older' it is supported/secure. Chrome stable is 95, their current stable and hence also (obviously) secure.
For our snapshots (i.e. this one) we skipped over 95 to 96, which when we release it as stable will be supported for 8 weeks again. This makes more sense, as we will line up better with the 96 release cycle by the time we stabilise.
So… you know… not totally crazy!

@guigirl Keep in mind that post will only work if the search engine itself supports it for that domain, e.g. Google never supports it.

Third!

@guigirl I have the new Snappie & this is the first thing I've tested &……it fails.
-
YouTube Ads reappeared. I now have to click Skip Ads, when I did not in previous Snapshots.
Example Video with Ads. Ads do not show on rewatching the video.
-
@ruarí SearX is supposed to support POST, it's even enabled by default in their own settings.
-
@guigirl For once, instead of posting

Have to restart Vivaldi 4.4.2465.3 as check for updates not working on first launch, quit relaunch and check for updates works -
@stardepp Is this an attempt to make us try the translation panel?
-
@stardepp Was confirmed, no progress.
-
Last snapshots have broken session saving in private mode
At least 3 last snapshots.

@stardust: I just liked the binary in the background as I am currently (as I write this) wearing a binary (well BCD) watch.
There usually is some reason for the different images. Sometimes it is obviously related to a feature or time of the year. Sometimes just an inside joke between the QAs. I mainly choose this one to see if any of my colleagues guessed why I did selected it. @mariap got it immediately.

700kbs, or less. I've never seen the servers so slow. That's what happens when you catch the snapshots hot off the press, I guess.

@paul1149: It is probably not cached by the CDN yet from whatever country you are downloading from. So yeah, this is an early downloader problem. Sorry!
I suspect if you downloaded again after your successful download, it would go much faster. Not that you would or should do this since it makes little sense, unless you wanted to test the theory.
