Configure extension buttons
-
I know this a minor thing, but I can't move around the extension buttons; in chrome all I have to do is drag the extension to where I want it to be, but it doesn't work in vivaldi... Is there a workaround? (besides reinstalling the extensions in the order I want them to be) If not, will this feature be implemented in the final version?? I hope so.... Thanks in advance~

@captaingreenhat -- Well, not really. From V launch to V launch, they tend to rearrange themselves.

@captaingreenhat Why uninstalling? You can just turn them all off and then turn them back on in the desired order. It's still an inconvenient workaround, but it's better than installing everything all over again...

@pafflick - That's not a durable solution. They change back to their old positions when you re-start the browser.

@Ayespy Yes, @Steffie already pointed that out. I just said that turning them on/off is better than uninstalling/installing.
As far I know, uninstall-reinstall has been reported successful for permanent re-ordering of the icons. Steffie's report of them changing around after uninstall-reinstall is the first time I have seen that.

@Ayespy -- Really? Odd, has been ever thus for me. Simple example; yesterday "Avast Online Security 12.0.124" was adjacent to rhs end of address bar, but today it's 4th from the rhs of the entire row, ie, 9 extension icons more to the rhs than it was yesterday. Natch all the others have also found their preferred positions today. I suppose it keeps the little dears amused... Btw, my comment applies exclusively to my x64 Deb SS [LOTS of SSs, going back to 2015], so Win V might be better behaved for all i know.
EDIT: My comment here is NOT specific to actually uninstalling & reinstalling them. I refer merely to the daily use of V, comparing how it was yesterday to today to tomorrow... the extension icons self-arrange. In 2015 or maybe early 2016 i did try specifically installing them in my desired order, only to see them bugger it all up as soon as i closed & relaunched V. That [made me feel like an idiot &] taught me that there's nothing i can do, but wait for Devs to finish sorting out complete Extensions management.
Ooh, California Dreaming [Mamas & Pappas] just came on; love it.
