New version is available, really?

On win10 I've got spammed by Vivaldi updates pretty often. And these updates are not brings anything significant. Its unserious, major browsers do not behave like that.
Also was disappointed with sync. Its not real-time synchronization of tabs and bookmarks like in Telegram.
Was hoped to make Vivaldi my workhorse to sync work between office PC and own laptop. -

Stable or snapshot branch? Usually, chromium/vivaldi issues are fixed every update, so the update should be useful.

Chrome have silent enforced updates and firefox usually auto-fetch them installing then at the shutdown.
You are not forced to be "nagged" by the updates: just disable the check in settings as in most other browser but is heavily suggested to manually check for them quite often (at least once a month)disappointed with sync. Its not real-time synchronization
This is something that could improve if the userbase increase. But yeah, is not realtime.

@storky Recent updates of 4.2 Stable were for essential security fixes for Chromium. There won't be any new features in security updates:
- 15/9/2021 4.2 Stable first released
- 21/9/2021 Fixes for media on Linux
- 28/9/2021 Chromium Upgraded to 93.0.4577.99
- 1/10/2021 Chromium Backport fixes for CVE-2021-37974, CVE-2021-37975 and CVE-2021-37976

Yes, Chrome/Firefox behavior is the best as default option. Gonna disable updates and downlead them time to time as the only way I wont be notified. -
@pesala
15 minutes not a big gap though. When was dealing with sync I restarted Vivaldy app to force it (to see updates in bookmarks primarily). -
@storky Subscribe to the RSS feed on the Vivaldi Blog to be notified of updates without having to apply them.
