@danielson: @guigirl: Hardware is the next step.

We are currently promoting free software. I told my friends to migrate to Linux to control their own system, and since they were newcomers, I suggested Linux Mint. But because the mint update model was difficult for them, I realized that rolling systems were better for them, and I told them to install Manjaro Cinnamon. Now I have to think of a better plot, maybe Arco -

If you do not care about software freedom, why use Linux at all?
Are you saying that Linux is such a bad operating system, the only reason to pick it over Windows is if you refuse to use closed-source software?

nice plot, I enjoyed it, thanks!

@ruarรญ My little and humble contribution to Linux community to mimic KDE Breeze Dark theme in Vivaldi
-
Congratulations from a Ubuntu Cinnamon guy to all Vivaldi folks for this bright move. Currently it's only Manjaro Cinnamon, but I wish that more and more Linux distros will perform the same move.

to mimic
nice, but why mimic when you can fully "integrate" it? (or yours could be an old theme)
-
@npro THX! Corrected...
-
@coronium you know that's not enough
-
@guigirl It's not that, those very sensitive aesthetic sensoriums of mine have started "tickling" me the moment I tried those values, then checking was unavoidable
-
@npro I'll do my best next time
Breeze no. 2haha...
-
@guigirl well, yeah, I wonder how to cross the npro's bridge of knowledge... like this maybe:
check it out

Congratulations @Jon & Everyone on the team.
Always happy to see Vivaldi's progress -

I've had issues with window maximization when using Linux Mint Cinnamon. For a test, I also tried Manjaro Cinnamon with Vivaldi as the default browser and noticed the same issue.
Here is a thread where some users are having problems and where I explained the issue in more detail:
https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/64730/window-maximization-error-linux-mint-20/11?_=1631489140181I filed a bug report about this a long time ago. It's not a major issue, but it is a little annoying: VB-34237

More bad news for Mozilla/FireFox...
-
Not gonna use Cinnamon, I've been a KDE fan boy ever since the controversial era, but this is great news! I've been waiting for a really long time. Now, either I have to figure out Widevine on Raspberry Pi or wait until someone does, haha.
Not sure why people are being so controversial about Firefox, the more the merrier. I've used IE, now Edge, Opera, Chrome, Chromium, Midori, Links (one of the first things I install on any distro along with VIM) it will never die, even if Moz://a "F"s it up too badly, someone will take the latest rescue-able code and fork it.

@stardepp , great interview, I see a lot of little hearts floating in the Linux guys.
-
@catweazle This interview is nice in the sense that it offers a good amount of driving force to wake up those who are staying in the wrong OS for all the wrong reasons.
