Extra "0" line top & bottom in calendar :day view
-
With Calendar in the Day View, an extra "0" line is inserted before & after time slots even with the following setting:
-
@janrif I think you mean this? Rather cosmetic...
-
True but it takes up space. On the list of things that are needed, it's not important, but someday it should be fixed.
-
This extra line there is intentional. Without it and having "Collapse Excluded Hours" there would be no way to see events outside of the "office hours". We believe that is not what most users would want.
Therefor we have this extra space above and below to allow for those events and the corresponding 0:00 labels to indicate that. We would like to be able to offer ways to scroll the view to get to the off hours but currently with how things are rendered that is not possible (an upcoming feature in chromium might make it possible but the details of that are not known at this time).
Another thing that could change the situation is an option of using more "conventional" fixed size cells for the calendar. This is on our list of things we want to achieve, but the focus now is more on stability, fixing bugs and improving collaboration with different servers.
TL;DR This is intentional, but it will probably be fixed by changes in rendering at some point.
ps. As always, thanks for your valuable feedback.

@eggert Thanks very much for the explanation. I understand it does not have priority. Maybe some label besides 0:00 would make sense? I don't have a good suggestion for this.
Since we are talking about the calendar, don't know if you saw this other oddity.

@janrif Yes I saw it. Have assigned the bug to me. Kind of interesting how it happens so I will probably look into it soon(-ish)
