delete "mobile bookmarks"?
-
Hello V Community/mods, I was wondering if it is possible to DELETE the "mobile bookmarks" folder, somehow? It seems, based on my experimentation, that it is NOT possible, but I'm not an expert. For me, the idea of having a category of "mobile bookmarks" just makes no sense. Why would I have bookmarks that I would use on a mobile device but not use on a laptop or desktop? All sites (these days) can be toggled to "view as desktop" by way of the browser's settings anyway!

I have no such folder, so if that ever existed, I have long deleted, for sure.
What experiments have you done so far? Could it be that you have sync enabled and one of your devices keeps sending that folder back to the server?

I am unable to tap and hold the mobile bookmarks folder.. or at least tapping and holding does not cause any options to appear. Tried to attach a screenshot, both from Firefox and from Vivaldi, but apparently neither browser wants to allow me to do so. I will try again (to provide a screenshot) when I get home to my PC, since at least I can sync my screenshots between mobile and desktop. Thank you both for your replies!

sorry about the gigantic screenshots. I guess because I took them from my phone then transferred to my humongous monitor that's why they turned out that way....(?)

well, fortunately and unfortunately, somehow the "mobile bookmarks" folder IS gone, although I am not sure what I did to remove it. I don't recall actually deleting it, but it is now nowhere to be found....so I guess oh well, at least the problem is "solved". Thanks everyone for your efforts!
