Installing snapshot over beta

    In Windows, either will replace the other to the same file location on the hard drive, preserving all user data files. The impact of doing this, however, is that snapshots will detect all future snapshots for updating, and Beta's will only detect future Beta's. So if you install one over the other, watch the blog to make sure you get the next update you want.

    On Linux, these are two different products and install in different locations on the machine. Again, snapshots will update to anything in the snapshot repo, and beta's will update to anything in the beta repo.

    As far as OSX, I think (but can't be sure) that it mimics the Windows behavior.
