Cycle between tabs does not work consistently.
-
When cycling between tabs in Vivaldi I expect that I can go between two tabs by pressing the assigned key combo (in my case it's Ctrl+Tab).
This does not work reliably, quite often, many times a day, you end up on a different tab than the previous, and it's very frustrating.
By reading the forum it seems to be a problem that has been around for a long time.

@burann What are your Tab Cycling Options?
How is the behaviour if you have more than two tabs open?
-
@Pesala I use "Cycle in recently used order", but that does not work reliably, sometimes it just jumps to a different tab than the most recent one.
-
@burann i could confirm this some stable versions.
i switched to cycle in order as shown in tab bar to avoid this issue. -
@DoctorG Thanks, I filed a bug report, should be easy to find and fix.
-
I also have this problem. Ubuntu mate 21.04
Tab cycle doesn't work. -
I would like to mention I have similar experience with the following settings:
and also with Two-Level tabs. When trying to switch between tabs that are in one group in goes to the next group, then goes back to the group and so on. It's really wired and unpredictible!Example
My tabs [1] [2 3 4] [5] [6] [7] [8], where each [ ] means a group of tabs, containing one or more tabs. Tabs order when switching with Ctrl+Tab is: 1, 2, 5, 3, 6, 7, 4, 8 (expected is 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8)Hope it will be fixed soon
