Imported Bookmarks Keep Being Deleted/Moved to Trash
-
Hi,
I just switched to an M1 MacBook from an older one, and I every time I import my bookmarks, Vivaldi runs really slowly, slowing down my brand new MacBook M1 with 200%+ CPU usage, and then all the imported bookmarks somehow get moved to the trash.
This makes it more or less unusable for me, since I rely heavily on bookmarks.
Please advise.

@avanavana How do you import bookmarks?
-
@luetage I export bookmarks in Vivaldi on my old computer, then import them on my new one, in HTML format. The bookmarks import fine, but then my Vivaldi would start nuking my CPU and after about 30s all the bookmarks would simply appear in the trash instead of where they were, initially in an “imported folder” within the bookmarks folder, under favorites, and above trash.
However I want to update this thread by saying that this occurred with MacOS 11.1 (I forget what my Vivaldi version is, I believe it’s the latest official release—I will update this later), but later on I upgraded to 11.4 and this issue resolved itself. So it must have been a problem with an earlier version of Big Sur.
Can this topic be closed somehow? I can’t edit my OP anymore.
