Support podcasts!

There is a void in the market for convenient desktop podcast clients, at least for windows. If you could add it, and even with sync ability, that would be super cool.
modedit Moved to Feed Reader discussion forum, there is already a feature request

If you want more, be more specific.

Yes, I saw that thread, thanks for pointing it out.
I do not have a specific vision, and it is a very general suggestion. I have a personal issue with podcast clients, with which some of you might sympathize.
O Android I'm very happy with AntennaPod, using it on every longer commute. At home I prefer listening on PC. It is much faster to use keyboard and large screen to lookup episodes, and it is always connected to audio system.
On Windows there are two problems:
- All free podcast players are either immature or ancient and discontinued
- None of them can sync my subscriptions and played episodes with my android.
True, Vivaldi does let you play audio file from a rss feed. But the user experience is lighthyears away from what, for example, UI of spotify allows. Even if technically they both let you listen, both have images an text. It is the UI, and the pitch to the user.
My point was, you have the potential to make it, possibly it's mostly design work.
And the market for it may be there. Of course, it is for you to evaluate.I'm just giving my fast feedback in first days playing with Vivaldi. You know that the more you get used to a thing, the more it will seem normal, and the imagination or ambitious expectations stop working.

Works fine for my subscriptions.
But also I don't care about the UI as I am listening, perhaps taking Notes, but concentrating on the podcast. -
@dudenas Well, upvote the other thread and comment your suggestions there.

Yes, that’s great
But search before posting: if someone else has given the same feedback, agree with them and it will be more likely to get implemented.
But remember that creators upload podcasts to Spotify, they will not upload to Vivaldi, so the amount of things possible are more limited. Still, podcast support could be much better.

@code3 thx. will continue there. Little remarks on your comment though.
Spotify was just UI example - I didn't want to refer to those unknown half-working desktop podplayers.
As for content - many of my subscribed podcasts only crosspost for spotyfy, soundcloud etc. Most even don't. It is good to have a single subscription base, to search when I'm in mood, instead of browsing different platforms. -
@greybeard Well, at fist you need UI to choose what to play. That works even without thumbnails, true, maybe ok for non-visual people.
And you need UI to remember what you have already played (not just 'read' a feed item).
Or to see what you started to play and stopped halfway, to be able to continue from that point.
I'm glad it works for you though.
(I will copy those points to the other thread mentioned)

@dudenas This is all I need... But I understand that many will want more.
I do have visual issues and am colour blind so I do not need anything fancy. -
