Event notification default and tweaks
-
Somehow, a calendar reminder/notification is set with a default sleep duration of 5 minutes. So far, I haven't been able to find where this is set (settings search yields zip). It would be great if that could be tweakable. I do note that I CAN change the sleep time in the notification dialog, but only in terms of minutes. That means I have to be really good at minute/hour/day math if I want something else.

@durhammer This is, as you have found out, not configurable. Default Snooze time is hardcoded to be 5 minutes, but it would make sense to make it user changeable. Will add a feature request to our tracker.
Thanks for taking the time to test out our beta release and report.

@eggert You're quite welcome, and thank YOU for adding the feature request to "fix" something that's not earthshaking.
Also -- thank ALL the team for a really great product.

While it's not earthshaking, it sure is annoying. If I configure a notification for an event to happen two days from now, and I want a reminder again tomorrow, I have to fiddle with the sleep duration -- from 5 to say 1440 . And oh yeah, you can't simply backspace over the 5 and enter your value, you have to start BEFORE the 5, then you can get rid of it.
(Writing this because the very thing above just happened!)

Ah, that is not good. One should be able to delete the content and write from scratch. We will have to fix that sometime.
It is possible for you to add multiple notifications for a single event, if that is something which will help with your situation.

@eggert Sorry, only now saw this. Sounds like what Google Calendar does/allows. At least that would allow one to simply dismiss a heads-up, day early notification, and possibly be prepared for another reminder closer in. That might make it less painful than the present case. Thanks, I'll give it a try.
