I would like the feeds to have the option to pull the whole article by default, rather than just the description.

I definitely have to second this! This is THE mandatory feature for an RSS reader in a browser...
I was so looking forward to Vivaldi 4, supposedly with an integrated 'Feed Reader', only to discover that it is the same minimum implementation as all others completely forgoing Vivaldi's advantage that it IS a browser and thus able to display any content linked in an RSS feed directly.
Expected behavior:
When clicking on an RSS headline, instead of just displaying the snippet from the RSS feed itself and an 'Open Article' button to the full article, there should be an option to have the linked article display directly next to / below the RSS feed headlines, all within the mail / RSS tab. This behavior could be configurable per RSS feed. For example implementation see the online service NewsBlur. -
A good example of a great implementation of such a feature is Feedly's setting per feed on mobile to Open Website Directly.
When enabled, that setting bypasses the blurb posted on the feed and opens the website as a new tab when the article is selected, which is preferable when the site's feed simply shows a link to the website and not the content. -
I had already asked for this last year but got some mixed feedback and not that many votes in 7 months: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/54533/preview-the-page-in-the-feed-reader
Ultimately it's up to Vivaldi to decide which way to go, of course...
