Feed reader is more of a mail client than reader

For me the perfect RSS reader was the one Opera had before switching to Chromium/Blink. Since then was using Smart RSS extension. Tried the feed reader Vivaldi have now, but some things are preventing me from switching:
Sorting by subject isn't working.
No folders, so have to add a Category to the feed name.
No way to recheck only one feed.
No option for a timer that sets post as "seen". Also an option to set as "read" on selection would be nice.
Clicking on a post title shows a thread which is usually just that single post. Would like to have an option to select default action for title-click.
Whole UI was meant for mail management, which doesn't fit an RSS reader much.
Some feeds have issues like wrong links or multiple posts of what seems to be the same thing (ex: https://rarbg.to/rssdd.php). Might be a site problem though.
I'd suggest to base the reader on Smart RSS extension logic as it was and still is quite simple and comfortable reader.
Liked the dark theme very much.
@shion Well, to be fair, feeds are fetched the same way mail is - so the feed reader uses the mail backend.
I believe Jon mentioned the Feed Reader is a work in progress and time / staff permitting he wants to see it improved.
Mail has seen improvements...
Let us wait and see what happens. I think it will be for the better.
