Opera 12.18 update
Thought at first must be hoax, or malware, maldoers trap? Opera 12.18does not have a changelog as yet, but see 1. https://malwaretips.com/threads/opera-12-18-released.31625/ 2. Download Link: http://www.opera.com/download/guide/?ver=12.18, and 3. http://www.opera.com/docs/changelogs/windows/ (no log no listing for 12.18) 4. http://www.ghacks.net/2016/02/16/surprise-opera-12-18-has-been-released/ First, like 12.17.1863, 12.18 has both 32-bit and 64-bit, en/int versions; This is described as a 'security update' deleting some code which was thought to be problematic and adding a few incremental security updates; One of writers above describes it as a transitional update to allow upgrade to present opencode Chromium based "NeuSkool" Opera [for historical I personally have subdivided Opera history into AlteSkul thru 12.xx now 12.18 and NeuSkul when o/s Chromium code was adopted, currently r. 35.0 I believe. Also states this is NOT re-opening AlteSkul Opera development; Since it is so new (today, oder gestern, ?? OR when cannot search so quickly on this PC and connection?) doubt an portapps, or compressed stand-alone, or zipped USB, etc. version will be posted yet, but if found, Feels as if I have had an ES (elementary school) or pre-university school reunion with my first girlfriend (? Alt Opera user, using Opera since r.3.xyz in maybe 1997?) or perhaps a more affordable collecting bug than classic Ferraris or Porsches? What isn't clear is why it was done, or what early adopters using it have to report? Maybe a new forum or sub-forum for "Vintage and Golden Age Browsers?"
