SOLVED Mail tab is empty
I downloaded version 4 of the browser and setup mail with 2 accounts, gmail and outlook. The mail widget in the status bar showed a "new mail" notification badge and hovering over the icon displays a list of the most recent messages.
However, the mail tab itself is empty.
There is no "mail" button in the panel bar. If I add a mail button to the panel bar it merely opens the web app for gmail or outlook.
The only icon present for use with the mail app internal to the browser is in the status bar and it opens to empty panes.
That worked. Thank you.
I will. It looks like this version is a major step in meeting the actual use practices of the end user. Great job.

I just posted about a very similar problem here https://forum.vivaldi.net/post/489229 -- although maybe with different cause and effect.
The Devs are doing a great job and Version 4 shows that Vivaldi has moved ahead in leaps and bounds. There's just a few rough edges and sharp corners to be finished to perfection (as always, with all software).
