Registered for my Vivaldi mail Account yesterday and went into settings to set everything up. After that I tried to send an email, as a test, to one of my other Accounts (gmail). After clicking "Send", it was stuck on "Sending Message" indefinitely, till I reloaded the Page. I first thought it might be because I set up encryption and that this took a while or just became stuck, but removing all encryption settings didn't help. Then I disabled all ad block and anti tracking plugins and options, but that didn't help either.
I left it at that and tried again today, with my synced Vivaldi on Android and there sending worked without a problem. Also tried with Edge Browser on Windows 10 and sending worked as well.
So Vivaldi Email only seems to work for me when not using Vivaldi (4.0.2312.21) on Windows 10 as a Browser. 😁

@jakearmitage Just to be sure, seems you are talking about the webmail interface on https://webmail.vivaldi.net (which I think you do because that you can access with Edge and where you can refresh a page)

This part of the forum is about the integrated email client that you access through the panel in the browser. @Gwen-Dragon can you please move the thread?

Now to your topic, webmail works just fine for me, so it seems to be related to your configuration (or your connection had a bad day?). If this continues to happen, try using webmail in a guest profile https://help.vivaldi.com/desktop/tabs/guest-view/

If the problem does not appear in the Guest profile but in your regular profile, then we should start digging around, because that means an extension or something else is making your Vivaldi behave funky, and you may run into trouble on other pages too. Let us know.

EDIT: Oh, and welcome to the forum! Be sure to continue to ask for help or mention any oddities you run into πŸ‘

Thanks so much for your answer and I think there might be a different problem altogether here.
I thought webmail interface was all there is, as I am on the latest snapshot and I don't have any options for either mail, feeds or calendar in the settings nor the side panel (screenshot).
Is there any place where I would need to activate it, or should it already be there?
I guess from there, if I can fix this problem, I'd see what's wrong with the first problem I mentioned.2021-06-10 12.37.56 vivaldi e1c295f0794e.jpg

@jakearmitage If you want to enable the Mail client (different from Vivaldi webmail) in Vivaldi, go to Settings | General | Productivity Features & tick Enable Mail, Calendar & Feeds.

@jakearmitage OK that is a different problem though πŸ™‚

One part is your issue with the webmail website being stuck at sending the message. It works in Edge, so it should work in Vivaldi. It doesn't, so problems may also arise on other websites. This is, at the core, a website issue, not a mail issue. Please try the guest profile test I recommended.

Now, Vivaldi also includes a mail client that doesn't require opening any websites. You should be able to turn the feature on in settings - general in the section Productivity features (use the search field in settings to search for mail). In previous snapshots you had to enable it in vivaldi://experiments

We just had this topic moved to the webmail section of the forum because of the problem above, so if you run into any issues with the internal mail client, please open a new thread in the Vivaldi mail (without web
                πŸ˜‰ section) of the forum

                  @gwen-dragon

Well, like I said... I wasn't even aware that there is more to this than the web based mail client, as I never saw any options for it even though I was always using the latest snapshot. But that was my fault, of course, because I thought the integrated mail client and its options were enabled by default. Thanks to hlehyaric I now found out, that they weren't. I enabled the option now and will go from there. Thanks so much for the help so far. πŸ™‚

                    Ok, I got it.
Disabled all extensions and sending messages worked. Then I enabled one after the other and tried to send a message via the web client.
A dark Mode extension, even if it is not switched to dark mode, but only installed and activated, breaks it immediately and it gets stuck on sending message.
