  • not much to say here, Flash was working yesterday and no longer works today; which means I can't watch twitch streams or use anything that uses it. vivaldi://flash - http://puu.sh/nf0oY/1297aa0b57.png vivaldi://plugins - http://puu.sh/nf0jH/4ae9d6f823.png twitch - http://puu.sh/nf0nw/1175d8d7cb.png

  • FWIW, the latest ppapi Flash plug-in is 20.0.0.306; you seem to still have 20.0.0.286. I don't know if perhaps that's playing a role with the Flash websites you're visiting… some sites don't like users with outdated Flash versions.

  • I'm getting acquainted with Vivaldi after using Opera 12 for a long time. I have a deal breaker of a problem, I can't get Vivaldi to play http://www.digsantacruz.com/main-beach-live-cam/ . I have 37 and even loaded the Adobe Beta 21 to no avail. It says it can't load the plug-in yet displays the expected video as a still.

Maybe you could get it working on your Windows 7/64 machine. It might be a diversion from those frigid Stavanger vistas.

If it's any consolation, on my Win7-64 system, the page 'hangs' Opera 12.18 completely, fails to show other than a still image on Firefox 43.0.4 (with a "No video with supported format and MIME type found" error message), fails to play other than a still on Qupzilla, fails to show anything but a black box in IE8, and fails to display other than a still on Vivaldi 1.0.403.15. Whatever is going on with the site, it's causing problems in multiple browsers, not just Vivaldi. Moreover, the site is very slow to fully load in most of the browsers.

  • Does not work on Windows 10 with Edge but is working with Chrome Version 48.0.2564.116 m (64-bit).
    Strange

    Cheers, mib

  • I should have added that the last iteration of Opera 12 worked as did my Nightly and Chrome browsers. Those seem to work after what appears to be a handshake protocol is completed. It was herky jerky with Opera at times.

Hmm. I tried twice with Opera 12.18, and both times, Opera went off into the weeds with non-responsiveness and wouldn't come back. In both cases, I had to use Task Manager to finally kill it. Including the Edge failure noted above, the site seems to work with only 1.5 out of 6 browser designs - if I were the site manager, I'd be taking a very hard look at my site coding.

  • Looks pretty good on 12.18 and 403.15 here. Quiet this time of night of course, but if I look I can see the waves are moving. Windows 7 x64 on an ultrabook (laptop with high end Intel graphics, good processor and 4 GB RAM).

  • Holy Cow! It is working now. Only thing is there was a power off and on this afternoon to do some shopping. But, get this, I look at my yahoo email page and there is a targeted ad. About browsers and plug-ins not working. Tells me yahoo is now snooping email content just like gmail.

Thanks, I learned a lot. Wishing for content blocking, though.
