Improved onboarding / Mail, Calendar and RSS move towards a Beta release – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2312.3

@altcode Sorry, i've been confusing, edited the previous post.
-
@altcode Yes, it was unfortunately already the case in the previous Snapshot.
I don't know if a bug has been reported so far.
sjudenim did you open one when you noticed it?(Gwen-Dragon@Ornorm should go to sleepsleepingI think)or Ayespy could you please verify if such a bug has been reported? If not, I can create a new one.@hlehyaric said in Improved onboarding / Mail, Calendar and RSS move towards a Beta release – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2312.3:
already reported
Oops, sorry then. Do you have the VB for reference?EDIT: Sorry... it seems I'm really tired... I didn't read the posts properly.

@ornorm No, cause I don't care . But actually, I guess Altcode is the one who reported it (wrt to VB-80035 in his post).

[Mail] New default signature (VB-80036)
Please do the old one. The new one feels obnoxious.
Also, the way the default signature is written in mail, it looks like it is just a suggestion and not the actual setting.
And, the signature box should be adjustable vertically, not horizontally.
Another comment: the toggle for "use OS theme" in the new welcome page uses a slider, not a checkbox. You should make it match the rest of the UI. I prefer the slider.
And one more thing for the new onboarding: the tracker and ad blocker should default to on, not off.

Any update on the separate feed reader interface?
The current solution is far from ideal. It does not have the "all subscriptions" column, but has a lot of unnecessary remains from the Mail interface regarding the toolbar and the context menus.
Feature request: https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/54298/separate-feed-reader-internal-page

@ruarí Was not sure as sometimes the manual check for updates has been called an auto update by some. (I typed that in MyOpera style)
-
@Ruarí please note that the number 4 is not a good choice in many Asian countries. Might just skip directly to 5 and make it a publicity stunt
-
@ruarí: Sometimes feeds won't be updated. For example, see VB-80090. Also, there seems to be an issue that after having Vivaldi open for a long time updating of feeds stops.
