Getting Vivaldi password reset emails. Are they genuine?
-
Emails are coming from [email protected], is this a genuine Vivaldi email address?
-
@Matman Yes, https://vivaldi.com https://Vivaldi.net and https://vivaldistats.com should all be official Vivaldi webpages. If you didn’t ask for a password reset email, contact Vivaldi.

How can I reach them directly??

General anti-phishing advice ... never click the link in an unrequested password reset email or other account information request (including such things as "You have a message/package/friend request" or whatever if they immediately require you to login). The form may be fake, or may be in a frame allowing the sender to steal your login and password. Use a bookmark or type in the address yourself (not copy/pasted from the email). Of course if you did request a password reset it'll probably have a link you couldn't type, but you'll know that's one you requested.
Having said that, I have at times received real password reset emails for various services if they were hacked or if my login data showed up online somewhere (years ago I tended to use the same password everywhere, so after Yahoo got hacked I had half a dozen places telling me to reset my password). So it can happen.

Only a
vivaldi.com
e-mail address can be trusted, since anyone can get avivaldi.net
one, and I see no reason why they would usevivaldistatus.com
(by the way, you mistyped it) for anything else than reporting the status of V services (if that becomes true).Of coure it’s a little bit different with web sites.

@Gwen-Dragon , they are things like that, because I don't like too much that the email address is automatically the same as the nickname, this is obviously a security hole, because anyone, visitors included, can know the email address of each user. This is also the reason, because I do not use Vivaldi Mail for anything that is relevant outside of the Vivaldi community.
