Google Gets Hit With a New Lawsuit Over 'Deceptive' Location Tracking

"Google falsely led consumers to believe that changing their account and device settings would allow customers to protect their privacy and control what personal data the company could access," DC Attorney General Karl Racine said. "The truth is that contrary to Google's representations it continues to systematically surveil customers and profit from customer data."

@stardust I'm beginning to worry that my fav hobby of kitten-strangling might place me into a too-narrow Topics pool, which then might lead me to become unfairly socially ostracised. Such injustice!

@barbudo2005 Chromium leftovers. Notice that floc is grayed out (so won't work) and privacy sandbox won't work either correctly because it relies ((currently)) on FLoC which is inhibited... about cookies... will see how it evolves 😉

@Stardust So more wtf things in you may like this in carts; and pretty much a rebranded FLoC 😃 🛒

What? Google rebranded FLoC again? 👾

BTW I think Vivaldi could replace these Google's Chromium leftovers with banners like:

These Google's spyware was removed from Vivaldi
                        - FLoC
                        - Topics
                        - new rebranded FLoC

                        😎

@Stardust No need. Just hide insert CSS here horrible/useless chromium settings would be nice... also, biting too much the hand which give you (part of the) food couldn't be a good idea 😛
