Let's do a Final already and move on to the 3.8
1st update try failed
No problem for me, Windows 10.

Cool - that speed dial fix seems to apply to the bookmarks problem too!
-
@killchain: yes it fixes some bookmarks drag issues
-
Woah. RC3. No time (afk) to update was a good thing, after all :Q___
Testing...UsingAka… Stable is will be the new Snapshot.
@potmeklecbohdan Reason I dream for a beta channel where RC and stable snapshots are promoted (oh and for js native hooking) :3

For me personally the Vivaldia game still looks blurry. I posted about this 3 weeks ago and just now I saw someone experiencing the same on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/vivaldibrowser/comments/m45bxm/snapshot_attempts_to_upscale_game/
-
@luetage Yes, I noticed this too, it's a smeared-out mess and no longer sharp pixelly goodness.
IMO this is such a serious regression that 3.7 should be delayed until fixed!
-
@Pathduck The reason I never wrote a report for this is no one did confirm it, I thought it’s only an issue for me.
-
@luetage Yep, just noticed it too. Quite a blurry mess. But hey, at least the screenshots are still nice and crisp.
-
@luetage I play Vivaldia 14 hours a day, I live on the streaming income from my thousands of Twitch followers - mostly age 8-12 who use their parents credit cards to pay for "profile bling". So it a most seriously problems for me!
Would of course be hard to test in different browsers. But as luck would have it, I made a "special version" back when it was released ... just for such a use, nothing else, nothing else

@luetage: Hmm... Logged as VB-77929 and asking a dev
-
@Pathduck lol, link to your twitch profile? I would like to watch your shows and promote you on my various social media channels to my millions of followers.
Also… the interesting thing is your version of the game looks as blurry as the current version, no difference. This leads me to believe there was no change to the game, but it has something to do with main Vivaldi.
-
@luetage Not sure you would be in the target demographic to be honest. I also laugh maniacally and make funny faces at the camera, inspired by that one Swedish guy. Kids seem to like that, bless their little hearts (and their )
Probably changes in Chromium Offscreencanvas rendering from 88 -> 89.
-
@Pathduck I can pretend. I used to star on To Catch A Predator as victim and they all fell for it. But the real reason I want the link is my affection for both funny faces and the superb gameplay of Vivaldia. Do you feature any pets in the background?

@boruta: That is very unfortunate but this is actually a very recent bug. We went back and checked and this first broke 13 days ago on an internal build.
It's not even about this error, but in general. It's not even about this error, but in general.
Better for the Vivaldi to be more conservative, but rock solid.
This is what I expect from a web browser, not fancy.Might I ask why you post this in a snapshot thread?!
-
@boruta Please read the notes at the head of the blog for this release candidate:
To help us get 3.7 out the door as soon as possible, please focus your feedback on serious regressions since 3.6 stable. If you want to ask about new (post 3.7) features or longstanding issues, please do so on our forums.
Your opinion regarding the development of Vivaldi is off-topic here and disruptive.
-
@ruarí: hi Ruari, i got an error "This app can't run on your PC" while installing update to vivaldi snapshot on windows, thought that might be due to me done something inappropriate, but after reading this, it seems to be a bug. My concern is how to restore everything without loss of any data?

Because I have an opinion on the development of Vivaldi as a user for several years and express it?
It is forbidden? But saying Vivaldi should be rock solid stable in threads dedicated to testing for bugs is... how can I put this politely?... slightly wide of the mark.
