      @luetage you are welcome! Glad that I am not the only one who uses Speed Dial navigation by arrow keys 🍻

      @Stardust I use speed dials only for mobile, but the startpage is a good new tab page in any case. I only ever want to open quick commands with a single key shortcut and the focus in the address bar forces me to press escape or use F2 instead. What I also noticed is that the new tab page always has focus in address bar when opening a new window… I know people nagged about not having focus in the address bar for long, but this should just be decided by the setting, not for everyone.

      Yes! +1000
      I have to press Esc or Tab. Very annoying 😢
      Hoping for the quick fix.

      Please give option to chose favicons or images from websites for speed dial. I'm tired of setting up speed dials on different systems. The moment i change a speed dial or few in a system i had to set it it up on other synced systems.

      In addition, is it possible to have different speed dials for desktop and mobile? I want to have different sets of speed dials for desktop and mobile.

      Thanks

      @Stardust I don’t know what you reported exactly, but this might not be included. The startpage as new tab page always has focus, no matter whether it’s being loaded as new tab in the current window, or as first tab in a new window. But any page set as new tab page will have the focus in the address bar in a new window. Could you add that?

      Not sure if it is possible to add that to the old bug report 🤔
      I think we should create a new bug report linked to the VB-77187

      Pressing the home button still focuses the search bar and not the address bar.

      There is an empty area in the thumbnail preview:

      alt text

      There is an odd value declared for that, it's locked at 170px, been that way for a few stables too. Try this

      .create-bookmark > .button-popup .thumbnail-image {
          height: unset !important;
          max-height: unset !important;
      }

      You're scaring me off of this Snapshot for fear of what Speed Dial mods are going to be broken...

      [Panels] Periodic reload steals focus (VB-76536)

      Thank you for that. It has been bugging me since forever as VB-37747 and it was realy a pain!

      I was thinking about writing a post about Vivaldi not fixing long standing annoying bugs but with the last two snapshots, you fixed half of the ones that were bugging me, thank you! Keep fixing bugs, I think you have a lot of the features in already!

      @luetage: Different strokes. I want the focus in the address bar when starting Vivaldi, and finally it has reverted to that. The poor developers: damned if they do, damned if they don't.

      I don't find the new tiles ugly, in fact I like them, but I coincide with nellaiseemai: I would like to have favicons for urls and custom icons for folders. Customizing every single url is a drag and when you have to install Vivaldi to a new computer, it's a pain in the ass.
      Two days after the new version, I find the new tiles much better, more refined, less crude and favicons-ready in case the devs gives us this choice. Maybe the best aesthetic development since Vivaldi opened its way.

      @wpcoe Nah, it needs to be in the hands of the users. We have a setting for it and it should take precedence. If there are users who want the focus in the address field on the startpage, but nowhere else, it should be a feature request and up for consideration. The current behavior is a bug.

      The lines that appear across animated images remain on M1 Macs.
