@npro I guess this is something that will polarise users.
Don't know if you have managed to read the last sentence of mine because I was editing it, this is exactly what I don't want to relive.

@Stardust That's an old issue, but anyway it could finally be fixed, right?

Any plans for Reload all speed dial thumbnails and Reload every x minutes?
Doesn't Reload or F5 work while Speed Dial is active?

"Focus isn’t in address field when creating a new window"
Hey, the focus is now in the address field when opening Vivaldi, too. Thank you!
-
@pesala: This was shipped prematurely, aspect ratio and borders will be fixed in next update.

I haven't done much testing, but it seems like this version is really ramping up my CPU usage.

I'm definitely not looking forward to the amount of modding I'll have to do when I get back... I guess I'll have to remove everything in the beginning
Or learn Python & do some experimenting with the kyute browser
Btw., does the address field focus work with
chrome.tabs.create({})
or what was it? -
@ugly Are you using Calendars and may this be related to https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/57147/it-s-about-time-vivaldi-browser-snapshot-2202-3/77?_=1614190397477 ?
-
@jumpsq I have calendar and mail enabled, but I don't really have anything in my calendar.
It seems like I had a vivaldi-bin process that resulted in the high CPU load. It remained at full load even after I closed the browser. I had to kill the process manually. CPU load seems like it's back to normal on a restart.

Update of Quick Commands, thank you.

I love your work on Speed Dials; thank you!

@atlemo Thanks, as I said above the Chropera times were very dark times where they kept making bizarre decisions, not listening to anyone, infuriating almost everyone, "testing the waters" before reverting changes (even after months) after having made everyone mad, so having been burned by that unfortunately I became suspicious and jumpy, waving red flags as soon as possible, thus next time be so kind mentioning these things in the "known issues" beforehand please
.

Since the jump to 3.7 the start page as new tab page has the focus in the address bar, albeit I activated “focus page content in new tab.” That’s unfortunate, because I never want to have the address bar in focus, messes up one key shortcuts. Had to switch to another new tab page. Is this a bug or on purpose?

@luetage are u talking about this:

@Stardust Very good, I don’t have to report it ^^
-
@luetage you are welcome! Glad that I am not the only one who uses Speed Dial navigation by arrow keys

@Stardust I use speed dials only for mobile, but the startpage is a good new tab page in any case. I only ever want to open quick commands with a single key shortcut and the focus in the address bar forces me to press escape or use F2 instead. What I also noticed is that the new tab page always has focus in address bar when opening a new window… I know people nagged about not having focus in the address bar for long, but this should just be decided by the setting, not for everyone.

Yes! +1000
I have to press Esc or Tab. Very annoying
Hoping for the quick fix.
