Some keyboard shortcuts ignore window focus after closing a tab
-
The following are the simplest steps-to-reproduce I have been able to discover so far. It is likely that there are some other conditions I haven't been able to isolate yet, and I will note that the bug triggers in more routine activity, but I haven't been able to figure out how.
With two Vivaldi windows open in two different work-spaces/desktops on the same monitor, after opening a tab and then closing a new tab in one window, and then focusing a the other window : some keyboard controls do not recognise the newly focused window and instead target the window whose tab was last closed. The most notable actions affected are: new tab, table cycling, and focus address field.
Additionally, I doubt this is a bug in my environment/window manager, as the second window clearly receives and recognises window focus (indicated by the tab color). However, the incorrectly targeted window is always on a desktop that is not visible when the bug occurs.
None the less, I'm running Arch Linux with a BSPWM-based environment.
On that note, in case anyone wants to mention it, yes, I'm aware that Vivaldi has tiling, keyboard shortcut customisation, etc... However, I already have heavily customised tiling and effective tab-grouping behaviour via in my window manager, which I would like to continue using.
I intend to submit a bug report but, as the reporting page encourages, I would like collect additional information on reproducing the bug from other users first.
Thanks in advanced for your help!

Update: I managed to isolate the reproduction steps further and have now submitted the bug report. The reference number is: VB-76927.

I'm having the same (I think) problem on Mac, but without different desktops/spaces. Things like closing tabs, switching tabs, etc. go to the wrong window until I click on the frontmost window. Sometimes even then it doesn't work and I have to click back and forth between windows to get it right. Is there any update on the bug?
