Vivaldi takes tabs to the next level, literally
-
Hi, Vivaldi developers - I'm disappointed how slowly scrolls working on page when I open new tab to background. It completely freeze current tab/page for about 1 - 2 seconds. I was able to implement V7 Tabs extension from Opera to Vivaldi sidebar, but this scrolling fault stops me from switch to Vivaldi Why the current tab is freezing even if the new tab is launched in new process??
-
Addition - It not freezes if the page is open to foreground tab and quickly switched back, so this is some weird Vivaldi bug.
-
Addition 2: It happens when I open link on this page:
https://www.codeproject.com/KB/IP/Addition 3: another problem - problem to close preview popup on Facebook, must click few times to close it. Working properly with ESC button.
Addition 4: can't edit comment here on Vivaldi, stuck on saving with some error.
I don't understand this amount of problems on Vivaldi.

@guigirl The make/break on being able to edit posts is reputation rather than longevity or activity.

https://www.codeproject.com/KB/IP/Works fine for me too - although the first page takes a while to fully load.
Note: I tested opening in background before and after loading of the IP page completed.Addition 4: can't edit comment here on Vivaldi, stuck on saving with some error.
I believe that depends on your "reputation points".
Edit: As @Ayespy saidI gave you another two as I believe you need at least three (and you have been here a while).

@TbGbe I gave another.

That's awesome! Using stacked tabs is so much easier thanks to 2 level tab bar.
One note though: using vertical tab bar, the tab bar width is limited to a (hardcoded) 260 pix limit. This is too narrow to properly display 2 columns of tabs.
A post asking for a wider vertical tab bar has 27 votes already. -

[I've not bothered looking for it, so this is purely rhetorical] - in comparison i wonder how many votes there'll be for V to have a full-feature TST vertical tabs panel, with ~"infinite" nesting capability,
Answer: the TST feature request currently has 96 votes (my years old vote included).
But I expect the effort to code and test TST is much much higher than simply bumping the maximum width of vertical tab bar.
Furthermore, TST with a narrow vertical tab bar could easilly get too narrow after some few nesting levels...So incresing vertical tar bar width seems to me it is a must anyway.
