QR Code Scanner Vivaldi Android with Share Function:

All "Add to Home Screen" icons previously established reported "App not found" with the update.
-
@deneban Can't confirm. They work for me exactly the same as before installing the update.
-
@ouzowtf I should have mentioned these "add to home screen" icons that became dysfunctional were located inside of a container of grouped icons (forgive me for not knowing the correct Android terminology). When I added a fresh "add to home screen" icon to the group, the older icons regained their recognition of Vivaldi being installed.

duplicate post - I do not have privileges' to delete this duplicate post. Very strange indeed
-
@deneban Works for me even when the icon is in a folder at the home screen of the launcher (I think this is what you meant).
So maybe its just a bug in your launcher app. -
@ouzowtf So in your test ("works for me"), did you revert to a previous version and then reinstalled the update? This issue occurred as a result of the update process
-
@deneban No, I didn't revert anything, but had working icons to URLs at the home screen of the launcher and in folders before and after this update.
-
@ouzowtf A bug in my launcher app? Please explain how that can happen, and if you know the remedy.
Also can you identify your position with the organization, I am new to the Android forum and your profile doesn't tell me anything about you.

@infosrefanvlad: Maybe you have Accessibility Access enabled in your Android settings? If it is off you should be able to reorder your notes.
All off for my phone (same issue with no "grab points" to move the notes around)
-
@infosrefanvlad Can you reorder your speed dial?

@deneban I'm just a normal user trying to help and guess what could be the cause for the behavior you're seeing.
-
@ouzowtf But I didn't ask for help, I was reporting a bug. My post said I resolved the problem so I didn't need help. So if you are not with Vivaldi, don't bog down the post with, as you say "guessing", let Vivaldi development or QA see the bug.
Truthfully the response you gave, " a bug in my launcher app", it doesn't sound like you have the expertise to assess what happened. There is no app called "Launcher" associated with the Android operating system.
-
@deneban Oh, you're one of those guys... Ok.
Did you really report the bug and have a bug number for it or did you only write it down as a comment in the forum?
Let's say I did not (and will never again) try to help you, but instead help the Vivaldi devs to track down the problem.
And with due respect, it seems I have a little bit more expertise in android, software development, support and QA in general than you.I keep my fingers crossed for you!

FWIW, I can (but not notes).
-
@mossman Same for me, I just wondered whether this was a bug on my side. I find it curious that one works but not the other.
-
External download manager like ADM isnt working
Have a check on this issue -
@mariap Turning off the accessibility service I use solves it even without clearing cache for me, so thank you for that. I'm only half satisfied though. May I know if it's a bug or limitation of Vivaldi or a limitation of what Android allows you to do?
I was using my accessibility service for non-accessibility reasons to be honest. While I understand you could have had a valid reason for turning off the reordering feature for users who have accessibility services activated, I'm still a bit sad I may have to choose between my accessibility-driven app or notes reordering in Vivaldi.
Is this something you won't/can't change or something you'll take a second look at?
-
@luetage I can reorder my dials. Luckily I never had issues with that.
