Basic chromium UI when reusing process started in app mode
I'm trying the --app switch to have "app mode" Vivaldi instances, that I use very often with Chromium, in order to have some websites (like Facebook and Gmail) as separate apps on the Ubuntu Unity desktop. However, I think that the same is valid also in other Linux desktops and also in Windows. But I found a strange behaviour, try the following command sequence: [ul] [li]vivaldi --app=https://www.facebook.com[/li] [li]vivaldi[/li] [/ul] With the 2nd command I wanted to start a regular Vivaldi instance, but instead I have the basic Chromium UI... This makes difficult to use the "app mode" but using the specific Vivaldi UI in another window (I should every time start "vivaldi" before "vivaldi --app". Still same issue in Vivaldi stable 1.0.. I'm the only one with this needing?
I have the same problem as reported here: https://vivaldi.net/en-US/forum/vivaldi-browser-for-linux/9660-vivaldi-just-opened-with-chromium-interface-vivaldi-features-are-gone#53098
As you said, the only way to avoid it is to run vivaldi before opening the "apps" but this is a little bit useless since the "apps" will close if you close the first vivaldi window.
