Tormenting windoze - Episode 11.

Because i'm that kinda gal -- contemptible.
Excitedly read https://www.gizmodo.com.au/2021/01/this-new-windows-10-bug-could-brick-your-pc/, decided i simply just had to get me some of this fun!
Cloned the smaller of my two win10 VMs, launched it...
...tried what the idiot article said:
Variation, also useless:
Re-read the article, this time chose to follow the link to bleepingcomputer. Aahhhhh, this journalist seems resistant to the slash-allergy besetting the silly gizmodo journo:
With the proper string windoze reliably crashed time after time, using either the browser or simply the terminal for the path.
But this is still bitterly disappointing. The G article promised me
stay away from inputting this file path into your browser: “.globalrootdevicecondrvkernelconnect”. It will not only instantly crash your PC, but also give you the dreaded blue screen of death (BSOD), from which your PC might not be able to recover. Do not do it!
Sure, once the correct string is used, it reliably crashes windoze... but the rotter kept reincarnating instead of remaining dead as promised. So unfair.
Maybe as it's only a VM, that obviates actual real carnage?
Do any current windozers here, who are already planning on changing to Mac or Linux for their real hardware anyway, feel like giving this a try please? Photos?
