      Hello,

      What : when trying to download Vivaldi patches ( Help -> Check for updates ) while I am connected through our company proxy, updates are not being downloaded and error appears : [ Appcast XML data incomplete ] ( see attached image )

      Regular Vivaldi browsing through this http proxy is ok.

          @Etay In addition -> I of course disconnected from our company proxy and also be able to update my Vivaldi
          The issue is : many people are browsing via http proxy on regular basis, so I think it is important to implement this.

            @Gwen-Dragon would you like to provide me a link to patch update CDN ? so I can test directly from my browser ( while connected through company's proxy ) ?

              @Gwen-Dragon Thanks.
              Via our company proxy :
              Tried Xml link - > reached. good.
              Tried download both files ( *.exe | *.cab ) -> can download.
              download updates for vivaldi.jpg

              After updating vivaldi browser today -> it seems it can check the status of version an update ( yet, I cannot examine if I can download patch update or not -> this will require me to downgrade ( which I don't have time now ) or wait for the new version of Vivladi's update to come in ).

              Conclusion :
              Looks better -> can we keep this request on status idle or closed ( and I will re-open if required ) ?

                    Hello Gwen,

                    1. Please see above, that I can access via direct link to the xml, thus, company proxy seems to not block it.

                    2. As a programmer, I think that the proxy is not defined in the pulling updates service
                      ( it does not use Vivaldi's main proxy but uses standalone request which does not include the proxy ) .

                    Regards
                    Etay G
