@Tealing Since the other tiled tab is displayed does it need to have a thumbnail too? Thumbnails are useful for background tabs that are not visible.
I don't know, I was just asking if this was expected behavior. I haven't used Vivaldi that long/much yet so I'm not that familiar with the browser.

[Tabs][Settings] New tab opened as the last tab despite “After Active Tab” option selected (VB-74797)
This fix appears to have made ALL new tabs I create via CTRL+T or the new tab button, appear after my active tab (instead of at the end, where I want them). Tabs opened by clicking a link in a tab go after related tabs, respecting my setting for them to do so.
-
I am monothematic... It has been fixed that when creating a new page it appears next to the current one, and not at the end? If it is not fixed, i will not install it.
by the way. Why from version Chromium update 86.0.4240.75 a page redirected from another program to vivaldi looks like this "http://%22https//translate.google.com/translate?hl=&sl=en&tl=es&u=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_constructivism%22" when it should be "https://translate.google.com/translate?hl=&sl=en&tl=es&u=https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Social_constructivism" Any way to fix it? Some explanation?

Sorry if this has already been asked - but in regards to TABS:
-
Why is there only one option for new tabs?
-
In other browsers (Brave, Chrome) - CTRL-T opens a new tab at the very end. But when I click a link on a webpage - it opens the tab next to the active tab.
-
Wouldn't it make sense in Vivaldi to have two separate controls for both "new tabs (blank)" and "new tabs (via URL)?"
Again - apologize if this wasn't addressed elsewhere. The current build (2115.63) is frustrating. I like that links I click open next to the active tab - but once again new tabs (via CTRL-T) also open next to the active tab, which becomes a pain.
Still love the browser, and can't wait for the email client to support gmail.

@kiriya-aoi: Do you mean the 'After Active Tab' option or the 'After Related Tabs' one? For the former, which I use, it's the way it's always been (before the regressions). Not sure about the former, but it does show the same behaviour.
I actually prefer it the way it is now. Ideally, there should be separate options for clickable links and Ctrl+T/button. -
@kiriya-aoi: this is normal behaviour (as before this bug introduced in some of previous snapshot), in settings "New tab possition" options is common to both: NewTabPage and NewTab-OpenedFromLink, only one separated options is for ClonedTab
-
- new tab position now behaves almost as expected, except for one:
- as tab stack with related tabs stacks it, but places it at the end of the tabs list — i.e.
Ctl-Pg{Up|Dn}
goes through all the tabs in between (not only the ones in the stack)
- as tab stack with related tabs stacks it, but places it at the end of the tabs list — i.e.
- just reminding that QC bugs aren’t fixed yet (but didn’t expect them to be fixed in this snapshot)
VB-74655
&VB-74941
- & something positive — I can now just
F4
instead of F4-F4-Esc
- new tab position now behaves almost as expected, except for one:

Ruarí, will there be a separate blog post when Google allows Gmail use in Vivaldi?

It would make sense as there is no thumbnail for the active tab either, because it is not needed due to being visible.

I caught a new regression this morning: desktop wallpaper is not being used when set as speed dial background (VB-74972).
Coincidence that I saw it since I happen to have sat down with a coffee to read the news on a machine where I hardly ever run the snapshot, it happened to show an update notification and this happens to be the only instance where I set desktop wallpaper as speed dial background!

I guess by almost you mean also that regarding to Bookmark/SD folders "After Related Tabs" became "After Related Tab" == "After Active Tab" behavior aka O-DCBA order . Agreed.

Although guigirl was kind enough to answer my question, I have to insist: if I interfere with "settings" in the middle of a session, the "close tab" function stops working as a mouse gesture, a keyboard shortcut or clicking on the "x" button of any tab - no tab can be closed, period. That happens in both of my computers, I have to restart Vivaldi to restore functionality. If it's not a bug, it's certainly a matter of some setting, does anybody have an idea what might cause this?

Added a known issue

[Mail][Configurable Menus] Allow Message List menu customization (VB-74483)
(Like)
so, Do not want to separate the list of Commands related to each part?
-
@Ruarí Thanks
-
@guigirl: I'm not at all offended, you're just trying to help. But I'm not synced (I've stop syncing a long way back, since my speed-dial tiles were loosing their favicons, assigned by me, with every update), so their is no way that Vivaldi in two different computers with two different installations can behave the exact same way. Furthermore, the problem was first appeared in snapshot 2115.31 (two snapshots back) in both computers without any modification by me. Nevertheless I'll try what you suggest in both computers, and see what will happen then. Thanks again.
PS In the meantime I'm using an extension to close tabs but it does not work in the "internal" pages.
PS 2 I added a new profile and opened 4 tabs. Next, I opened settings, made some changes in the tab handling department and closed settings. The exact same thing happened: tabs cannot be closed. -
Sorry, but Any plans for bringing Global Media Controls feature to Vivaldi?
-
I very well realize that Mail is currently an experiment, but it's getting a bit annoying to follow the directions in https://forum.vivaldi.net/topic/53457/mail-fix-send after every Snapshot update just to get Mail working again. It would be great if Mail kept working after updating Vivaldi.

Strange, I have not had to repeat that "fix" in any of the updates since applying in the "original" Snapshot!?
Also, there are posts in this thread that the bug was fixed?? -
@kocho: I'm afraid it'll be a few weeks after Google introduces Chrome with its own integrated email client.
