Sync your Vivaldi web calendar with Vivaldi browser and Android

@paul1149
Hi, no idea about TB but I use OneCalendar on Android, sync it with Vivaldi web calendar and Vivaldi desktop calendar.
I tried Open Sync but cant get it to work.Cheers, mib

I'm using Vivaldi web calendar as Server, syncing it with Vivaldi desktop browser in the settings,
and syncing with android via DAVx⁵.
It is an app for syncing CalDAV calendars on Android with the calendar app and is working fine.
It is also syncing contacts if you want. -

@paul1149 Downloading webmail calendar events doesn’t sync them. I haven’t checked out simple calendar, are you sure it’s CalDAV capable?
Yes, there's a CalDAV setting, which when turned on only offers (Google) Calendar.

Thanks guys. I switched from Open Sync to DAVx5, but it still didn't work. Then I installed One Calendar, and it immediately syncs in both directions. Unfortunately I choose a lousy theme by accident on installation, and now I'm stuck with it unless I pay. But at least I have a working calendar.
Now I'll try to pursue the TB problem in their forum.
Thanks again.

@mib2berlin The setup of both Open Sync and DAVx⁵ is a little finnicky, but when it works it just works and you don’t have to touch it ever again.
-
I discovered that Simple Calendar for some reason did not have necessary permissions. As soon as I enabled them it synced with Vivaldi Webmail perfectly. I'll probably uninstall One Calendar and stick with Davx5.

I have been trying all of this for days, I am so frustrated. I just want to sync my vivaldi calendar to my android phone but I just get an outlook calendar which I do not use.

@mib2berlin I have tried that, I must be missing something. I get DAVCal but not DAVx5. I tried the first and I get an error message that I can't access that?? I did load One Calendar and Open Sync apps on my phone.

@dcochran
OK, this thing is you don´t need anything else to sync OneCalendar, simply add your vivaldi.net account and it should work.
It does so for at least 2 years or so but now it stopped working.
I have no time to work on this at moment and hope other users step by for help.Cheers, mib

Thank you so very much for your help, you seem to be the only one!! I appreciate your time. I teach computers, this is crazy.
-
@dcochran I've had success with DAVx5 from the beginning. This app is highly recommended, at least when other apps don't work.
-
Thank you. Can't wait for testing Vivaldi calendar with my mobile. Too bad that sync up has no updates since 2017. Could be vulnerable.

Just drop a bit more info 'bout the topic
#DAVx5 sync CalDAV, CardDAV and WebCal with your phone calendars and contacts. Better if download it from F-Droid 'cause in GPlay it's a paid-up version. @dcochran
On other side #OneCalendar access directly to CalDAV servers, doesn't use phone calendar or sync with it. In OneCalendar free-version with multiple calendars you can't assign'em different colours, same colour for all. And still working w/my calendars @mib2berlin.
