@hlehyaric It's 2020. Better tools were invented for keeping track of issues, collecting extra data, consolidating issues, displaying the progress to everyone concerned etc.
I guess you love manual labor or should I say "human touch". I don't. It doesn't respect my time.Anyway.
VB-74795
I can't even copy and paste a title of my report here because I've given not a trace of it except the number. (Does GDPR applies here?)
This one is about the Window panes stopping to update after a new tab opened via existing tab context menu.VB-74797
This one is about the broken "After Active Tab".Let's see how many more reports are needed before it actually fixed.

None. If the number of bug reports has any effect, it’s that those who have to read them will get less patient reading new reports & will simply close them all as duplicates only based on part of their title… even if they have some useful info.

Yep. This was one of the reasons I was refraining from reporting it myself for a long time. Every time I'm here to report anything - it was reported already and fix comes with a different ticket number...
This time we see some closed tickets with the bug still unfixed, and moderators are unable to provide accurate info about why it was closed. If "Closed as fixed" is accurate then it's not as the bug is still present and it breaks the trust to this system. "Closed in favor of X" would've been more accurate, assuming that's how it works here.
The current completely non-transparent bug tracking is awful in any way you look at it.

Did you give your email address with the bug report? You will receive an automated reply with the details. The developers will sometimes contact you, or you can submit further information by replying to their email.

@Hadden89 I mean.. the password export.. is the same csv format/layout regardless of chromium version, so I can't see that as the issue.. but for some reason the stable snapshot is not importing that file anymore.
-
@Pesala I can see the email now. Sorry about that.
-
@Koolio I don't use the feature, so I can't really help, but if no-one know the VB, since when it was broken or has reported it we'll be hard to see this fixed. [My guess was the something changed in how chromium handle the *.csv, causing the bug. Or in Vivaldi. But has to be tested on vanilla chromium too]

and to top it off.. the exported vivaldi passwords.csv exported from this snapshot.... will not import into Vivaldi.3.4.2066.106.x64
Can not reproduce this on Windows 10 or Debian 10.
I only see that Logins+Passwords which have a filledname
column will be imported.Feel free to report a bug.

But, there is a speed dial creation tab delay if just one page/tab is opened and closed...?!?
@ipristy: I just noticed that delay too.
-
@Koolio The Devs deliberately do these things to you because they know it always provokes broad hilarity afterwards, watching you explode.
And there was much rejoicing.
-
@Hadden89 Thanks, I will be on the lookout for that bug, hopefully it is related to my problem. Maybe I will also report it to the bug tracker to be sure.
-
@guigirl: why would you even make such a stupid post? grow up.
-
@Koolio To give you another opportunity to look at it from the other side.
-
Many others have already posted much about the ongoing tab management bug. Here's some pics to illustrate my current experience of it.

I next closed all those tabs, changed the setting, then proceeded to open the same children from the home page in the same sequence, again using mouse-wheel middle click. Alas, now the sequence is reversed:

Whenever I open and close "settings", while working with some tabs, the close tab function ceases to work at all. Tabs cannot be closed by mouse gesture, keyboard shortcut or by clicking on close tab button "x". I have to restart Vivaldi to solve the problem. Has anybody seen that?
-
-
@guigirl: Thanks, it's almost the same but, in my case, nothing at all works: mouse gesture, keyboard shortcut or clicking on close tab button. I just cannot close any tab, period! Can you test it? Just open and close "settings" while having some tabs open and see if you'll have the same effect.

No it does not show up here - i frequently access Settings, & i always have multiple tabs open.
I know this is obvious but i'll ask anyway -- does it still happen for you in a test profile?
-
@guigirl: The exact same thing happens with my (windows) tablet. If you please follow my movements: open settings, go to tabs and check (if not activated) or uncheck (if activated) the tab cycler. Then, if you like, undo the change, close settings and check what happens with the tabs.
