Cannot "show in file manager" on downloads

  • So I tried downloading a new file manager for Windows and it replaced my default associations with Windows Explorer. I've since restored Windows' associations to default but when I try do hit the "show in file manager" option in the downloads bar

it gives me the following error

I have no idea how to fix it and it doesn't show up anywhere else on my computer.

    Help would be appreciated!

    Hi,
    Welcome to Vivaldi's Forums!

Have you restarted the computer after restore default associations?
Does it happens on other Browsers?

The File Manager name would help if needs investigation, post it and check its Help Page too.

For the future use Registry Back up Tools and / or Default OS System Restore Points.

And complete disk BackUp Tools like MiniTool or Aomei.

  • That's strange because that should happen if you try to Open the file and it's not associated to any application, Show in file manager shouls just open explorer pointing to your default download directory.

  • I guess I needed to restart my computer. 🤦♂ Sorry for the bother
