Entry rules for filtering RSS posts
-
Use entry rules to read the posts you want, with 'allow' and 'block' rules based on title or content.
RSS readers generally don't have this feature, and I have to do it with FeedRinse, it's old and outdated, but it works for filtering some posts and news.
This is just the beginning and this feature may be a bit advanced, but devs could take it on board when the reader 'base' is polished up.
In case of want to go a little further, could use entry rules
(besides the title and content) for labels/tags, author, etc, anything specified in the XML file. -
Has nothing come out of this? I really don't feel like using Vivaldi if this isn't a feature. I follow a single RSS feed and have been using Thunderbird for its great RSS filtering capabilities. If Vivaldi had this, I would ditch Thunderbird immediately and even cease using other browsers.

Yes. This. Feeds might as well be , well, not useless, but severely limited for me without the ability to filter out useless posts. I'm surprised this hasn't gotten more attention in over 1.5 years. Really looking forward to this being added. I had to forsake this when I switched to using Vivaldi as my primary feed reader, but this would be awesome.

Completely agree.
Currently using NewBlur.com in order to leverage filter functionality. Would be great to do so in Vivaldi, but for now, it's a non-starter. -
Filtering in RSS extensions is paid option. One (maybe more, not found others) has free filtering (extension is not using servers, its just works in your browser), rules, tags.
