@Steffie Tried to clear vivaldi cache and/or data from android? I solved some glitches in past doing that.
I don't think the feature depends on Android Version, but who knows.

@Hadden89 Good idea -- i do this regularly anyway, but had not done it for a while today so attended to it now.
Discovery -- this IMO proves that this V function is broken on my phone.
- Launched V
- Checked History -- bloody well heaps there again, grrrr.
- Went to my Android's Settings, checked current storage for Vivaldi - many tens of MB cached. Left it alone, for the moment.
- Toggled back to V, manually wiped its data then closed V.
- Toggled back to Android Settings - as expected V's cache now only a few kB.
- Relaunched V, did more browsing.
- Rechecked Android's V cache - back to tens of MB.
- Closed V without manually wiping.
- Rechecked Android's V cache - was still tens of MB, grrrrr.
- Relaunched V, checked History -- bloody well heaps there again, grrrr [ie, the previous session, which i'd not manually wiped]
- Manually wiped the data in V then closed it.
- Rechecked Android's V cache - as expected is now back to being only kBs.
Conclusion:
On my phone, for dog-knows why, manual data clearing works but the new delete data on exit absolutely does not work.

@Steffie I guess you only have to try to reinstall the app - I suppose you have sync there - and then cast a VB

In Linux, for something like this, the next test i'd do is via a clean profile, but i don't recall us having that option in Android [via the V UI]... do we? I've not yet attempted to try a file manager to examine V's files on mobile like i am v familiar with in Nix.

Clear browsing data on exit option doesn't clear cookies, history but it closes opened tabs

can you make it so clear data on exit clears everything whenever i close the mobile app
i tried the feature and it didn't work at first then i manually pressed exit on vivaldi then it worked for me
or make it optional if the user want to manually close the app or clear everything after user closes the app

"clear data on exit" does NOT clear cache & history.
