Windows 10 App Store

I would love to see Vivaldi as a Windows app available through the app store with updates pushed through that mechanism. Is that a consideration?

Meanwhile Microsoft doesn't release project Centennial I would not put hopes on it.
There's quite a few quirks to make a standard software become an App for Windows. Project Centennial promised to make it easier, but it would not automagically transform your software in a Universal App.

And with UWP, maybe, Vivaldi's first mobile application will be on Windows Mobile, not Android. Hope to see on XBox too. Good luck, Vivaldi.

@Kadae Windows mobile has a market share of 0.1%
I don't see anyone wanting to develop for this platform. -
@Kadae As I said before, 2 years ago, it only makes the software a Windows Store App, but does not automagically convert into UWP. The software is still a desktop, x86-64 software.
Plus Microsoft has specifically forbidden any competing web engines from the Windows Store as specified on its rules.

@Kadae It's still a lot of people. Well, we'll see. Spotify joined weeks ago, for example. All popular apps exist here.

7 years later the same question.
