no keyboard key working for absolute necessary things like 'open in new/private tab/window'
-
this is a speed killer. There's no keyboard key i can press to open necessary things like 'open in new/private tab/window' quickly [image proof: no underlining of any alphabet]. I am left with slow way to drag cursor.
Linuxmint 19.3 xfce 64bit.

things are ok on bookmarks bar. Above issue is for webpages. [reported, VB-73992]
-
@sid0 Keep pressing "O" until the item you want is selected, then press Enter.
-
@Pesala yeah, but there are too many 'O's. And after that pressing Enter still remains.
-
@sid0 It could be a lot better, but it has to be done manually for each language to get the best results. This would work well for English.
-
In one way, Vivladi can be even better. Chromium has different keys for bookmarks bar and webpages like:
for 'open in incognito' its letter 'i' at bookmarks bar but 'g' at webpages,
for 'open in new tab' its letter 'o' at bookmarks bar but 't' at webpages and 't' at bookmarks bar is for 'cut' action which I didn't knew before and was troubled.Making keys similar at both places would be a luxury. Do I need to make another post for this similarity request?
-
@sid0 A request already exists for this: Better Context Menu Access Keys
Failing that, Allow Editing of Context Menus will let users fix the menus according to their own preferences.

where is this shot from?
-
I think the problen has been worked upon as I see this in 3.7 version.
linux 32bit
though link says no progress
-
The context menus are now fully editable.
Use an & to assign the desired access key if you don't like the one that is assigned automatically.
-
@Pesala great. VB-73992 can be marked solved.
