Websites don't fully load when opened in background.
-
It seems that when I open tabs in the background via middle-click, Vivaldi 3.4 and 3.5 seem to think that websites aren't fully loaded. This means you will never get to see the favicons in the tab-bar, it keeps showing the "loading" indicator. And when you navigate to the website, you will always get to see the "stop" button instead of the "refresh" button on the address-bar.
This doesn't happen if you directly open the link in the same tab. At first I thought it was related to ad-blocking, but even if they are disabled (including the Vivaldi ad-blocker) it still happens. So uBlock, Ghostery and Adblock Plus don't seem to play a role. I happens to me on multiple sites including imdb.com and beursgorilla.nl, perhaps you guys can test it.

To be clear, you should navigate to imdb.com and beursgorilla.nl and then open a few links in the background to see if they fully load. And what's up with these smilies, the most popular ones should be listed first in my opinion.

EDIT: I miss understand your post, some of the links looks completely loaded but does not show the favicon.To be clear, Vivaldi 3.4 and 3.5 by mistake thinks that the websites aren't fully loaded, while in fact they are. So that's why you don't see the favicon and that's why you see the X (stop) button, plus you will see the "bytes loaded" and "images loaded" indicator in the addressbar.
However, after a bit more testing, I need to correct myself, because currently it does seem that the problem is related to ad-blocking. It seems that with uBlock Origin and Adblock Plus enabled I sooner or later get this problem. It also happens when I enable the Vivaldi ad-blocker. Strangely enough, with only Ghostery enabled it didn't happen.

@RasheedHolland Existing thread:

Thanks, but see my reply above, this doesn't happen when I turn off ad-blocking, so perhaps Vivaldi somehow doesn't work correctly when ad-blocking is enabled. I now see that it sometimes also happens on certain adult sites when only Ghostery is enabled.
I have tested this on multiple profiles (Person 1, Person 2, Person 3) and it always happens. So it shouldn't be related to cookies and cache files, this is definitely a bug in Vivaldi. I was thinking about downgrading to Vivaldi 3.2, but this isn't possible without a complete reinstall.

Yes, that's covered in the main thread.

Yes, I now see it, and I have just replied in the thread. This problem is really starting to get on my nerves, I'm not going to lie. Things like this shouldn't happen in a quality browser like Vivaldi.
