Don't change the tab when open a new one

  • Hi, Everytime I open a new tab, the browser move to it. I just want to open a new tab, and stay where I am. Is it possible? Regards

  • Yes :) its called "open link in background tab"
This is a signature context menu item from opera pre 15 & i don't expect it to change anytime soon.

There are three ways to do it, but ONLY if you are opening the new tab from a link. In Vivaldi, the default (and non-selectable for now) behavior is to focus any new tab you open from the "+" sign.

If you are opening a link, though, you can ctrl+click on the link, middle-click on it, or right-click on it and select "open in background tab" from the context menu. Any of these will open your new tab in the background and leave you where you are.

  • Ohh!! kk ty :D
