Lots of fixes and a minor Chromium bump – Vivaldi Browser snapshot 2080.3
-
@AltCode very nice, but now I wait for the usual suspects yelling "oh noes, BLOATWARE!111"
-
Can't waiting for bump Chromium M87.
GO GO GO
-
@AltCode That’s an experimental chrome flag/feature. Not sure what Vivaldi really did there other than making it available from the experiments page.
-
@iAN-CooG Aha, found the baddie:
Spoiler
-
@Steffie ah ok, I have move-window-buttons-maximized.js disabled as I don't need it.
-
while you guys are improving periodic reload, be sure to implement VB-57616...

while you guys are improving tab selection, be sure to implement VB-73229...
-
@iAN-CooG Actually, i don't either. This one was a legacy setting from yonks ago that i had forgotten i'd even enabled, so now removing it causes me no hardship at all. I'm pleased that all my others atm seem to remain good.

while you guys are improving tab tiling, be sure to implement VB-56822...

Don't...do...that...
Too late(Saving QR would be nice :P)
-
@Hadden89 The image URL tells quite a lot (I don't have a QR reader so can't prove this though)
-
Can I get a translation of this one?
"Vivaldi is blocking third party cookies without exception"
Because that reads to me like the released version of Vivaldi doesn't support third-party cookies anymore, and that would be impossible.
-
@rseiler I guess it means that rules for 3rd party cookies were ignored.
Or that bypass the forced whitelist for google domains (which was a chromium "feature") -
"[Address bar][Extensions]Regression] Focus not in address field when using new tab extension (VB-73167)"
Was waiting for that one to be fixed! Thank you so much!
-
@Hadden89 you monster
-
@Hadden89 Saving QR would be more than nice, it is required in order to have feature parity with chrome.
-
@Hadden89 @AltCode pfff nothing special to Linux users, QR support is integrated in Linux for ages... Anything can be converted to QR Code, and not only, to Data Matrix, Aztec, Code 39 and Code 93, for example with KDE Plasma's Clipboard Manager right in the system tray your nicknames in QR look like:
Sorry about your OS (I know AltCode uses a Mac), but at least you are getting something... after a decade via the browser lol
-
@Gwen-Dragon I think is already planned and for being experimental is quite complete

To correct you… there are so many utils that can do this; no surprise Plasma has it as well. AFAIK it ain't integrated into the kernel.
-
@potmeklecbohdan oh thanks for correcting me, and non-Linuxers don't understand a word about it. There is no point in getting too technical and scrutinize the words in this thread. This is meant for fun after all.
Besides, KDE is already a complete Desktop Environment with its Clipboard Manager specifically designed for it, called Klipper, integrated, and the term "Desktop Environment" is probably unknown to 99,9% of non-Linuxers, sorry non-GNU/Linuxers, so... in Layman's terms "Linux just has it"
